The Procedure
Dr. Drake will place a metal post in each empty socket. The metal posts serve as the anchors for the prosthetic replacement teeth. Because dental implants require adequate bone mass and good overall dental health for successful placement, our implant dentist will evaluate your entire mouth to make sure you are a good candidate before starting treatment.
Your mouth will need to heal, during which time bone will to fuse with the dental implant posts. Dr. Drake will then attach your permanent restorations – crowns or a denture. Treat your implants like natural teeth by brushing and flossing regularly, as well as maintaining routine checkups in our office. With proper care, implants can last a lifetime.
